Which layout is best?
How to use a habit tracker
- Pick 3–5 habits. Make them small and clear: “read 10 pages”, not “read more”.
- Print it and put it where you’ll see it: the fridge, your desk, inside your journal.
- Mark each day you do it. A tick, a colour, a tiny doodle. The growing pattern is the reward.
- Missed a day? Just don’t miss two. One gap is normal; a habit only slips when gaps pile up.
- At the end of the month, count your boxes and keep, change or drop each habit for next month.

Frequently asked questions
What is a good layout for a habit tracker?
For 3–8 habits, the bullet-journal spread (habits down the side, the days across the top) shows the whole month at a glance. For bigger boxes, or kids, use days down the side with a column per habit. Both fit one printed page; the maker switches between them.
Is this habit tracker free?
Yes. Make as many trackers as you like, print them or save them as PDFs. No signup, and nothing you type is sent to us: it stays in your browser.
How do I save it as a PDF?
Click "Print or save as PDF", then choose "Save as PDF" as the printer. It comes out as one full page in US Letter or A4.
How many habits should I track?
Start with 3 to 5. A short list you keep beats a long list you abandon. Add more once the first ones feel automatic.
Can I share my tracker?
Yes. "Copy link" makes a link with your habits and settings, so a friend, partner or student can print the same tracker.
